"To be able to have touch is to enjoy life" Anon.
You often hear senior citizens remarking that whilst their brain is as young as ever, their body is aged and breaking down.
Maintenance of our body function and structure is an integral part of the enjoyment of good health and indeed, life itself. This principle is now widely recognised and the role of bodywork has been expanding at an accelerated rate.
The bodywork profession is rapidly changing. It is becoming more sophisticated, now requiring education not only in technical bodywork skills, but also in pathology, nutrition, record keeping, communication skills and in the important area of professional ethics.
Bodywork encompasses a large range of physical therapies including Swedish Massage, Remedial Massage, Ayurvedic Massage, Acupressure Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Baby Massage.
The future for bodywork has never been brighter or more promising and there are now many employment opportunities available.
Body Work skills can be learnt as part of our Diploma of Remedial Massage; Diploma of Reflexology; Diploma of Aromatherapy; and Diploma of Remedial Therapies. Shorter duration modules are also available in a range of Body Work modalities.
