In this fun and exciting module the student will learn the how to use and apply stones to the body to bring about healing and wellness. The information covered in this course will include; history and geology of hot stone therapy, the benefits and psychological effects of the treatment, contraindications, workplace safety, and application techniques. In addition, the following subjects will be addressed;

• The Lymphatic System

• How to Handle and Place Heated Stones

• Physiological Conditions Hot Stone Therapy can Treat

• How to Incorporate Heated Stones into a Massage Treatment

• How to be Creative with Individual Hot Stone Therapy Treatments or 5 Star Treatment Spa Packages

• How to Expand your Remuneration, Menu and Service Options with Hot Stone Therapy.

• How to Set up Your Clinic/Spa

• How to Clean and Sterilise Equipment and Stones.

This course has a pre-requisite module, Swedish Massage, and the intake of students for each term is limited to 10 students, so students are highly encouraged to plan ahead and enrol early.
