The NSW School of Natural Medicine will adopt policies and management practices which maintain high professional standards in the marketing and delivery of educational and training services, and which safeguard the interests of students.
Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) may be granted at the discretion of the Principal. Application must be made in writing accompanied by all relevant documentation and may be subject to a maximum fee of $70.
(a) Fees will be refunded in full if a minimum of four weeks notice is given prior to commencement of the module.
(b) Fees will be refunded, minus a $30 administration fee if less than two weeks notice prior to commencement is given.
(c) Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if a student withdraws after commencement of the module.
Deferment of a module, or transfer from one module to another may be granted at the discretion of the Registrar. If approval is granted, the deferred module must be recommenced within one year and is subject to any fee increase over this period.
Upon completion of a course/stream, after all academic, clinical (where applicable), professional and financial requirements are met, a Certificate or Diploma will be issued free of charge. If a Certificate or Diploma is lost or damaged, a replacement can be provided at a cost of $35 for a Certificate and $50 for a Diploma.
Eighty percent attendance is required for satisfactory completion of every module. This may be waived in special circumstances at the discretion of the Principal.
For general interest programmes we encourage students from all backgrounds and age groups. For professional Training courses, matriculation or mature age entry is sufficient, however some previous study of biological sciences may be an advantage.
While we trust these will be rare, should a student have any complaint, problem or grievance, it is requested that an appointment be made as early as possible with the Registrar.
